Wedding venues in Canterbury Winters Barns
Jade & Oliver were married in September at one of my favourite wedding venues in Canterbury Winters Barns. Winters Barns is a large venue with extensive grounds, lending itself well to wedding photography in both dry and wet weather.
Autumn weddings can be either crisp, bright days (with the golden colours that make September and October so special), or …well, wet. It’s great to be able to work with natural light but the flip side is that if it turns into a dull day, you still need to be able to put the light in when it doesn’t show up.
Rain should not and did not get in the way of everybody enjoying the day and relaxing into the photography. The bridal preparation in the new bridal suite was enhanced with some selective use of flash as was the case with the groom prep. For the signature bride and groom portraits later on in the day, this was in between showers and again involved some flash lighting to give some direction, shape, colour and contrast.
