Photography 121 tuition and training in Kent
Most of my time is spent shooting commercial photography but I’m always happy to offer photography 121 tuition and training in Kent. Although I’ve been working in the industry for twenty years, I don’t think we ever stop picking up something new, and I’ve been fortunate enough to share some of what I’ve learned over the years with photography students and amateurs of all ages.
The first resource for you is the blog or my Facebook and Instagram feeds where I posts comments and free photography tips and information about how particular pictures were taken. Please search the blog under the category “training”.
I also offer some training and tuition options for you to explore which are listed below.
1-2-1 Tuition
1-2-1 training is now increasingly popular and you can decide how long or short it can be – from short boot camp sessions to something more in depth.
There comes a point with our learning when structured courses are not what we need. 1-2-1 sessions are flexible and allow you to decide on the content, duration and location. You get to ask all of your questions, when you want to and in the order in which you need to get the answers. You can have as little or much tuition as you want, tailored to fit around your other commitments. As an example, 1.5 hours of bespoke tuition in Canterbury or Whitstable costs £95 including VAT.
Portfolio critique and business consultancy also available.
Camera Skills Workshops – please DM if interested for 2023
My Camera Skills Workshops are called “Why drive an automatic when manual is more fun?” and cover camera controls; ISO; exposure.
You’ve a new SLR camera but it frustrates you. Or you’ve been taking pictures for a while and there are a few techniques that you wish you could nail. Why not come on a camera skills course and have a unique opportunity to ask all of those awkward questions – not just theory but hands-on practice and learning. Get the technical stuff nailed.
LOCATION: Whitstable, Canterbury, Faversham
Creative Learning – Going Deeper
After a 1-2-1 or a Camera Skills Course perhaps you can try a more in depth creative workshop such as controlling natural and artificial lighting? I’d love to hear from you.
GOING DEEPER: Off-camera flash techniques; studio style Lighting; location portraits.
