I wasn’t really meant to be at Michelle & Andy’s wedding because I wasn’t their official photographer – but they did want some portraits together in a particular style so I spent a quick half hour with them as they arrived at the reception. Their Grove ferry Inn wedding reception in Kent was following a ceremony in Margate.

The Grove Ferry Inn is a friendly and unique wedding reception venue on the river Stour between Canterbury & Sarre. The wildlife are a particular feature including a black hen called Margaret, rabbits and some large pigs that didn’t appear bothered by the smell of cooking pork. None of the pub/restaurant/hotel’s pets are used in any of their dishes. I know this because I asked.

Within thirty minutes we had shot a couple of different sequences and I left them to enjoy the rest of their day.
