A couple of times during the year I do a Canterbury magazine portrait fashion shoot for Whitefriars. Admittedly a bit of a mouthful, but it’s a cross over between a location fashion shoot and location portraits. Whitefriars is a largest retail area the centre of Canterbury (Fenwicks, H&M, Zara and 30 other stores). Each year they have a competition for two people to win (male and female). Together with prizes including clothes and voucher, there are a couple of photo shoots.
The images are in a magazine style because Whitefriars use them for a range of online and printed campaigns, promotions and advertising boards throughout the year. This type of photoshoot – the mixture of portrait, fashion and editorial photography – is something that I’ve offered for a while now as an alternative to the traditional idea of “portrait photography”. It’s fashion style shoots for everyone – not just for advertising or businesses. If you’re interested in this hop over to my social photography site and have a look at “Freestyle“.
